A lot of people around the state have been, in a sense, "praying" for the state legislature to rescind the Senate's cuts and outright program eliminations to early childhood. But now folks in Kalamazoo are literally praying.

Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Kzoo will host an interfaith prayer service at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16 to call attention "our young children and their preparation for school and life." If you can make it, the church is at 120 Roberson in Kalamazoo. If not, they invite you to pray wherever you might be.

Hey, why not? At this point, we could use a little divine intervention on behalf of kids.
