Merchandise proceeds benefit young children in Michigan

Looking for the perfect gift ?  Do you have a friend who is passionate about making Michigan the best possible place for children to lead healthy, productive and successful lives?  Do you have a family member who speaks up for children who are too young to speak for themselves?  Do you want to empower others to find their voice and have a direct impact on what Michigan will look like for future generations?

The Michigan Sandbox Party has a tip that just saved you a trip to the mall. For the early childhood advocate on your list, how about a donation in their name or some fantastic swag from the Sandbox Party?

Donations and merchandise proceeds will be used to support efforts that work toward helping children start school healthy and ready to succeed, said Sarah Triplett, event planner for the Early Childhood Investment Corporation.

“Young children aren’t able to speak up for themselves and that’s why the Sandbox movement exists in Michigan,” Triplett said. “We need to ensure that all our voices rise up in a symphony of support for young children, especially the most vulnerable.”

“We live in a country of great blessings along with great need,” Triplett said. “We launched this effort so that those among us who are committed to the young children of Michigan have a new way to express that in 2012.”
